@leahawasser @pyOpenSci clicking through and eventually found myself looking at "what is a python package" and involuntarily performed a standing ovation. bookmarked it as an example of great docs for an incredibly complex subject with many meanings in many different contexts

@leahawasser @pyOpenSci i think it's especially important since many people are interested in narrowing that definition for various goals many of which directly contradict the progress of scientific research

@hipsterelectron @pyOpenSci agreed. it's a really interesting (and complex) space. the people developing the tools aren't necessarily expert in all of the use cases (which makes a LOT of sense). And there is this natural divide between science / not science that started years ago 10 years ago in fact when conda emerged. so i hear you!! it's complex. but i. confident that we can continue to move forward -- together working with others in the broader ecosystem!!

@sloanlance @pyOpenSci i can't tell you when they will be online but i know they are in the queu - in that playlist i see 140-ish videos in draft mode! when they do go live i'll post about it and will add links / embeds to our blog posts as well!
