Ah - Patricia Neal starts us off.
Here's her obituary. She left us in 2010 it appears, after a long career, but somehow I assume her role in "Stranger from Venus" wasn't featured in the obit text

I met her very briefly a number of years before she died and she was wonderful and lovely. I told her how incredible I thought her performances in Face In The Crowd and Day The Earth Stood Still were and how delighted I was to meet her
She said something like “that’s so nice of you to say.. which was your favorite.” I admitted Day was my favorite
I mentioned a friend was a teen at the time and she and friends thought Michael Renny was hot
She got a lot of delight out of that
