Basically the PM2 remaster has been suddenly delayed again, in order to remove and edit content on the PlayStation versions but not the Switch/PC versions. Not sure Nintendo is okay but Sony isn't for it instead of vice-versa
Like the stuff they list they are removing are things you actively have to be a horrible person towards the daughter to get. But like they didn't list the bandit shit as effected, or the brothel type endings.
This is a game from 1993, that has had an unedited Steam version out for over 10 years. Then a month before the remaster releases suddenly it has too questionable content for PlayStation? Seriously; what the fuck
Like this port has already gone through the rating systems for release, and again the game is over 30 years old. So I am so disgruntled on why this sudden flip to change and remove just one of the port's contents. There shouldn't be any surprises, etc.
Like some of the things listed to be removed are even a Steam achievements in that version.
Like I actively don't play the endings they are removing, but I was so excited to play the complete and idealised version of the game on PS4 finally. A game I never thought would get any rerelease ๐
It releases in July, and I got an e-mail from amiami about my pre-order being delayed this morning. Like this is how close to release they decided to remove things. That have been known and played since 1993, and left in for other versions already.
I am really disgruntled by this. I will keep my pre-order because of the artbook etc. But I won't be buying the PS4 digital version at release now. Debating removing Cube as my profile avatar even because ๐
I contacted the store's support. I know they usually don't allow order modifications but thought I might as well try before cancelling and pre-ordering the Switch version instead. Since this is no longer the full complete game on PlayStation/what I ordered
Relatedly; Amazon.co.jp lists almost $200.00 set but doesn't list in the English language page what else it includes besides the artbook & soundtracks which are already in the special edition. Can anyone help me learn what else is?

I want the most amount of Cube content that I can with whatever version I get.
Like they are removing the popular marry Cube ending (it doesn't appeal to me because I think of Cube as older despite his young boy look/voice). But there is a lot of routes/endings/events not listed for removal that are *oof* (but not accidentally gained).
But becoming a concubine to the elderly king, becoming an alcoholic, dominatrix, becoming The Devil, running a brothel, killing God, the "defeat" by bandits, etc. are not effected by "content sensibilities".
In my last playthrough I agreed on an arranged marriage to a dragon FFS.
[They knew each other for years and had a bickering rivalry, then she defeated him in combat. I just was avoiding a different marriage so locked her into this.]
I think why I am so annoyed is the suddeness. A 4TH delay over something Bliss Brain dropped on everyone a month before release. The worry they will cherry pick other things with the excuse of it. The ratings boards already went through the game.
Anyway; I pre-ordered the Switch verion on amiami. And recontacted to ask to cancel my PS5 pre-order
Like I probably should have waited until the Switch version released/shipped but I am just so disgruntled
It seems Sony is the ones ordering the changes...despite the game already going through the ratings board process ๐๐๐๐

Left a comment. I know it's more Sony being awful now, but it still lost over $130.00 in purchases as a release day 1 for both PlayStation versions
