That this even had to come up in discourse about (*checks notes*) xenophobia among white English-speaking folk on fedi is… telling.

Like, yeah, getting angry that others don't cater to your every preference about interacting with the world is blatant bigotry.

Responding to that bigotry by expressing abject incomprehension that anyone wouldn't just interact with the world the way you so easily do… is also bigotry.

It is possible to call out bigotry without resorting to bigotry.

Really, it is.
