First keynote from Guobin Yang, on performativity and narrative. Lots of conversation sparked about the poetics of faking, the "better" fake, continuities in circulation, trust, authentication, all the good stuff.
On to the draft papers part of the workshop. The first panel explored disinformation online, using computational methods. Now we've had lunch we're on to the "most authentic fakes", Tingting Liu talking about the escalation of fake goods, factory products,Taobao, platform expansion and legal teams.
