Huihuihuihui. NOAA-Warnung für den stärksten Sonnensturm seit 2005.
Da könnt heut Nacht auch über Deutschland sichtbar was abgehen.
*macht Stativ und Stirnlampe fertig*
(Mal schauen, was das global so mit unserer Technik anstellt)

Anyone else still mentally and digitally processing Friday night?
The amount of raw-files on that SD card is kind of daunting. XD
So I edited a few less colourful shots from yesterday with just a hint of #aurora. Mostly just a gently glowing moon and stars over a local ruin. First two images are multiple exposures stacked in #Sequator to bring out the star light.
Continued thread of edited aurora photos: a local school. This location may not be the prettiest. But having done their promo shots I know the area and thus felt secure to move around quickly in the dark and not break either my face or equipment. Also there's a lack in photogenic reflective surfaces around here, so at least windows and ambient light were nice and predictable.
Local castle on the same night.
It really pays off to know how your location. This was one of the easiest panorama shots ever despite those fast changing, highly ununsual conditions.
More #aurora photos from May 10th. This time a more foresty theme.
Another batch from May 10th edited.
What was intended to be the only location of the night in a local Bortle 3 spot turned out to be only the start. Obviously naked eye appearance was a lot darker, green barely visible. But photos can't do justice to how *creepy* it felt to stand under a blood red moon next to a very dark forest you better avoid at night (interesting animal sounds included).
Second to last batch of #aurora shots.
Pink and green sky over bright yellow rapeseed fields. Let's just say it's a colour combination I'll never frame and put on my wall. But what an amazing experience it was to capture.
