The Register

@lproven @theregister when I installed a different distro, a few weeks ago, it was largely because I couldn't remember the name of the distro that I had previously wrecked (through careless use of dd on a device where I stored my VirtualBox virtual drives).

Now, I remember: Manjaro. Thanks. It was very nice, when I last used it.

Now, I can't remember: the name of the more recently installed distro.

Oops.

Tried Mint, openSUSE Tumbleweed, and Manjaro for my move away from Windows a few months ago. Decided to stay with Manjaro because it offers a wide range of installable software (if you let in AUR), a modern technological base (now running kernel 6.9 and KDE 6), and the user experience is quite good. Well, I'm always nagging about little things UX-related. Having now deployed it on several systems, I especially like being able to create a customized image with 'buildiso'.
