Google AI is a hot sticky mess. Now they're telling people to add glue to pizza, as it took a shitpost from Reddit.

@gamingonlinux
Never ever a reaction image would be more perfect than this :D
@gamingonlinux ohh no glue onto pizza well I'm trying tell ya just something's in this world just isn't right and I'd bet ya dollar to dog biscuit this is definitely one of those.
@gamingonlinux it's ok, legal is all over this, and they say that just adding a small print disclaimer somewhere about "Google doesn't guarantee the safety or accuracy of these results" is all that's needed

@gamingonlinux A hot sticky mess suggesting how to make another hot sticky mess.

Somehow, that makes perfect sense to me.

@Dj_Mike238 @gamingonlinux oh No they start replicating already

@gamingonlinux

A perfectly reasonable solution from a creature that never eats.

@gamingonlinux AI overviews are disaster because of the low quality content Google Search is shoveling us into.
Gemini 1.5 Pro is good enough for many tasks, if you give it right sources of truth, like pupils books or arXiv articles
@gamingonlinux I gladly welcome the future masters of nighshading and corrupting the data of LLMs.

@gamingonlinux

I'm not 100% sure, but adding glue to make the cheese tackier sounds like one of those tricks food advertisment photographers use to make the food more visually appealing/last longer on set.

@gamingonlinux And perplexity says: โ€œDo not add glue to the sauce to make the cheese stick, as jokingly suggested in an old Reddit postโ€

@gamingonlinux Ah, you don't know that.

That's the beauty.

In general, without special precautions, you never know where the LLM comes up with the probabilities for the next token.

@gamingonlinux Italians don't want you to know this simple trick...
@gamingonlinux the quick questions (or how they're called) also spit out more shit than facts, I remember one where they quoted an off-topic forum on chess.com for a someone with 400 IQ
@gamingonlinux soon we will have warning on package like that "DO NOT USE UNDER THE RECOMMENDATION OF AN AI"
@gamingonlinux OMG ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ฑ

@gamingonlinux But, but, but... I was told that "AI" is the future. Its smarts and deep reach of knowledge are gonna save us all, and further the light of human consciousness...

#LLM #DTBO

@faraiwe @gamingonlinux This is "AI" in the same way North Korea is a "Democratic" republic.
@gamingonlinux

In fairness, "non-toxic glue" would be taken by a practiced cook to mean "thickening agent". Yeah, they'd give the recommendation the side-eye, but they'd understand what it meant. I shudder to think that a less-experienced cook might have added kindergarten paste or Elmers glue to their sauce, though.
@gamingonlinux You might be laughing ... but did you consider that user "fucksmith" might be right?
@gamingonlinux with the release of AI we opened a can of worms......no wonder they make movies where the AI takes over the world......hahaha #destiny
That's awesome news! ๐ŸŽ‰
@gamingonlinux most of the unintelligible ingredients in modern ready meals are just edible glue
@gamingonlinux What I've learned from this is that shitposting is like AI poison and should be considered god's work
@gamingonlinux In fairness, Elmer's Glue sees a lot of use in food commercials as "milk" or an additive to pizza cheese to give it that TV stretch. Though for pizza they also literally nail down the adjacent slices and hide it with pepperoni. XD
@gamingonlinux This is why we need moar shitposting. Trolling is a art!
@gamingonlinux people that do not understand sarcasm are dangerous; technology that does not get sarcasm is even more dangerous by its mere unlimited
propagation
@gamingonlinux This made me laugh and being 72 years young I remember eating the white glue we used in grade school. It tasted minty fresh!!๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
@gamingonlinux I know humans that would fall for it too. Actually all too human.
@gamingonlinux
I see stuff like this and think of the techbros in the belly of the #LLM like Charlie Allnutt kicking the boiler on the African Queen.
@gamingonlinux glue could be non-toxic but gluing a pharynx or a mouth can obviously have some very dangerous side effects...
@gamingonlinux glizza ๐Ÿ• ๐Ÿค
@gamingonlinux I have that shit even without the AI overview. (this is the first result)

@minirop @gamingonlinux Me too lol

At least you can easily see that it's just from Reddit tho....

@residualentropy @gamingonlinux yes, big difference. the worst example I know is the onion with their "geologists recommend to eat a small rock per day" that google AI spits out "UC Berkeley geologist recommend..."
@gamingonlinux @Staren as always, we need to remember that it's not "artificial *intelligence*", it's just the world's most efficient plagiarism algorithm
@gamingonlinux Oh dear gods they trained AI on Reddit!?
@gamingonlinux What kind of half baked mess is this?
