Sometime later I decided that I should have used acrylics instead. The mult-hued splendor of the costumes and events in this book might have been more appropriately recreated with the intensity of acrylics than with the subtle tones of watercolors. 2/4
There is so much of interest to illustrate in Julian May's “Pliocene Exile” series that I'm amazed at not finding more art derived from her books in science-fiction convention art shows. 3/4
