I just checked on it and someone has removed the sign. No indication who. It was up until around 11 or 12. 🤷‍♂️ It's fine. I count it as a success. 😊

Addendum: When I drove by today I noticed some rope peaking out from under the billboard. So I investigated.

Chances my sign was removed by an unhappy member of the public: +89%

.... Mad enough to physically destroy a obviously new tarp and leave behind new rope and shackles.

(time needed for me to untie: about 30sec)

Oh well 🤷‍♂️

@chris @Buthowhighishigh From my own past experiences with defacing many lying ecocidal corporation ads/signs in public spaces, and writing the truth over their lies - not much will likely happen to you. I've lost count of how many times I've defaced greenwashing corporate signs over the years - never got arrested or even given a warning, for any of those actions.

Was watching videos on YouTube, this weekend. At one point, an advert from American Patroleum Institute was inserted touting how America can be energy-independent if only the Biden Administration would realize all of the fossil-fuel reserves available for exploitation within the US and unleash them rather than crippling the US by insisting on renewables and EVs. That China wouldn't be a danger to take over our automobile markets if only, by unleashing America's fossil fuels and the things that use them, we could preserve American dominance in the US marketplace through continuation of ICE vehicles.

The kind of advertising that makes me want to huck a bowling-ball at my TV.

Like, "if you fuckers hadn't spent the past several decades blocking green tech, the US would probably be sitting on top of the green-tech pile, not China".
