Oh my! Be still my beating heart!

Our spotted pardalotes are so comfortable in our garden now! This little jewel has spent the last 20 minutes chatting with me through the window and all is good in the world 💚

Stunning! 😍

Spotted.pardolotes are my nemisis bird (in the nicest possible way). I often hear them but have only seen them a couple of times.

@wildwoila one day you should visit us here and meet them :-)

@wildwoila @timhollo

Pardalotes in general seem to require excessive amounts of staring at the very tops of tall gum trees before they reveal themselves. Where I live we get the red-browed pardalote and my hear to see ratio is about one in twenty.

@alcootatooter @wildwoila these ones nest under a callistemon bush and flit back and forth outside our windows. Super convenient of them 😊💚
@timhollo @wildwoila Very convenient indeed! I recently got to see a nesting pair of striateds that were hanging down low. Spectacularly beautiful birds.
@timhollo Wow, she has the markings of a Monarch Butterfly! I have never seen this type of bird! Beautiful!
@Doreen32128 they’re native to Australia only. Gorgeous bird
@timhollo Ahhhhhh no wonder I’ve never seen one! Beautiful bird!

@timhollo

Never heard of that bird before—beautiful!

@timhollo
Whoa!! That is incredibly vibrant compared to the striated pardalotes we get here 😍
