Last year, we learned our porcupines do not like getting their paws wet. So my wife built them a little stone bridge to cross the 1 inch deep trench 🥹 They seem to have mastered it! Anything to not get wet. Even if they’re already soaked from the pouring rain…

@danmccullough Well, it is Infrastructure Week.
@fitzbew248 It seems the porcupines are leading the charge… well, maybe the amble!

@danmccullough

And I’m sure he thanks you all very much 😊

@NyakoKitty They use it EVERY night, back and forth! Perhaps a toll is in order😆 If they teach the babies to use it we might have a standstill.

@danmccullough

It’s so amazing just how intelligent wild animals are! I’m such an advocate for wildlife crossings and this thoughtful little one really brought a smile to my face 😊

Your wife is great! 😊
@Bella She is! And this was Porcupine Bridge (ver. 3) that finally worked. The first 2 weren’t up to the porcupines high standards. 😄
😂 Spoilt brats 😉
@lfisk @Bella That… is… awesome! Though we might have to get an XXL width 🤭
@lfisk @Bella Now I’m laughing hard, thinking about our portly porcupine crossing that bridge, getting wedged in the rails, and carrying the thing off. 🥹
@danmccullough @Bella There were some "cute" covered versions for cheap that looked great and then I read the dimensions. Didn't think your Porcupine would appreciate the funky hat😄
@danmccullough Amazing video! Just like humans not wanting to get their feet wet!
