LAPD Foundation sends a DMCA takedown to an indie artist selling 'Fuck the LAPD' t-shirts. He promptly engages a lawyer and things escalate rapidly from there.

I need a cigarette after reading this.

The second letter that @questauthority.bsky.social sent to LAPD reps on my behalf. Even more savage than “LOL, no.” I’ve highlighted my fave parts. What are yours?

@engagedpractx I miss these bouts of legal poetry from @questauthority and other lawyers that contributed to the former "#lawTwitter", now that they're mostly on BlueSky and not Mastodon. But so long as the links still work, we can all enjoy reading these masterpieces.
@litchralee I was not aware of @questauthority or familiar with his oeuvre so this is coming as a complete delight!

@engagedpractx @questauthority The genre of scathing legal takedowns is very entertaining and enlightening to me. Another major entity in this space is @Popehat, who's now also on BlueSky but maintains his public blog, which is always good food for thought.

One of Popehat's response letters can be found here, which contains this quote:

> Your threat is also a jumbled, oily poutine of complaints about opinions, insults, and
heated rhetoric.
