Wikimedia Europe has signed an open letter that calls on UN Member States to protect Wikipedia and other public interest projects in the forthcoming Global Digital Compact.

1. Empower communities to govern online public interest projects
2. Support global digital commons for promoting and safeguarding digital public goods
3. Develop AI/ML to aid, not replace, creators and decision-makers in serving public interest
