Guess what I've discovered isn't fun... trying to update WordPress with Arabic characters in plugins that only function with the Latin alphabet.

@Fizzle_Up Oh man... my sympathies.

I once worked on a site adding 30-40 new language and location sites and sudomains... and the UX considerations around Arabic were ENORMOUS.

That one sub-site took like 4-5 times as much work as any of the others. πŸ˜„

Was that because you were unused to working with Arabic - just wondering if the reverse would be true for someone who only works in Arabic trying to work in a latin language - or is something else at work here?

To add - nothing is wrong here - I'm just curious!

@simoncox @Fizzle_Up In this example it was more that the right to left orientation of the text made some fairly fundamental design elements either not work at all - or need significant re-thinking.
@optimisey @Fizzle_Up Thought that might be it! Have had small brushes with designing layouts that had to use both LtR and RtL languages pages before and it can be a head spinner!

I have never tried designing a page of vertical reading text though!
