stadt.welt(1) Lübeck is a #city in northern germany close to the #balticsee and its #historic city centre is an island surrounded by #rivers. This #island was the first larger area to be declared as a #unesco world heritage site in 1987 and is rich in medieval #architecture. Being an island comes with a problem though: In order to access it you need bridges. Several of the bridges in Lübeck currently have to undergo heavy renovation, partly leading to road closures.
But I think this circumstance poses a great opportunity for a bold step in city #politics.
