Transgender women challenge Tennessee law that blocks changes to birth certificates

Tennessee's lawyer told the Sixth Circuit that changing the sex listed on birth certificates would create confusion about who could participate in various programs, like sports.

Psst Tennessee, I am a Tennessee resident with a Gender-Affirming birth certificate, because I was born in #California. You are also legally obligated to recognize it, including for other ID purposes like getting a drivers licenses, because of the β€œFull Faith and Credit” clause of the US Constitution. You are only punishing people who had the misfortune to be born trans in this miserable state.
