During our research on Fanime as to the claims #FailedByFanime has made; we discovered that one of its board members has publicly opened some CSV data of its attendee count as well as some sensitive information (that likely should not been publicly shared) for years.
To clarify, the information we uncovered was not because their websites were compromised. Instead, a Fanime board member likely inadvertently shared documents on a hosting site configured for public access, allowing search engines to cache and index the data.
