wut?
wut?
Oh. This is a "don't vote for anyone not part of the duopoly, even if they both suck, because the duopoly does not want to actually respond to voters" marketing thing.
Gotcha.
As opposed to what? voting for the party whose leader is committing warcrimes supporting genocide? Hmm, one who talks about committing crimes, one who does it. 'Alex, I will take "Vote my conscience for someone else" for $∞!'
You cannot convince voters to vote against the bad guy unless you have a viable alternative option. Heinrich Held, Alfred Hugenberg, Ludwig Kaas, Ernst Thälman, Otto Wels, Arthur Crispen, Hans Vogel… all unpopular, all insisted on running.
Thank you for you insistence on being banal. I will take the opportunity to share non-duopoly candidates for #POTUS #2024
Peter Sonski (Connecticut) has been nominated by the American Solidarity Party (#ChristianDemocrat algned), with Lauren Onak as his running mate.
Randall Terry (no personal site) is nominated by #FarRight Constitution Party
#POTUS #2024
Cornel West and Melina Abdulla
Johnny Buss, of the LA Lakers owning family, is running an independent candidacy.
Primaries undecided yet:
The Green Party (#LeftWing) has 4 candidates with delegates for their national convention, with Jill Stein the current front-runner.
The Libertarian Party (#AmericanLibertarianism, aka "no step on snek") primaries have 7 entries, 3 with delegates, and Chase Oliver is the current front-runner.
The Green Party of the United States is a grassroots national party. We're the party for "We The People," the health of our planet, and future generations instead of the One Percent. We welcome all those who refuse to accept a choice limited to the Two Parties of War and Wall Street. The Green Party supports livable wages, universal health care (Medicare For All), repeal of Citizens United, free higher education, student debt forgiveness, full reproductive rights for women, human rights for all immigrants and for LGBTs, and racial justice: Black Lives Matter! Greens will lead the opposition to the Trump-Pence agenda during the next four years. We will not compromise, capitulate, or go along with the bipartisan consensus. The Green Party continues to represent the best hope for America's future.
That is a nice, simplistic, acontextual, and irrelevant story. Thank you for sharing it, but I find it to be defeatist. I prefer to look at #history.
The #USA is a multiparty #democracy. The current dominant parties have not always existed. There have been periods of multiparty governance in the USA; it is the normal circumstance in other, similar, #democratic states.
Voting for any evil is morally and ethically wrong.
