They had joined the guard together, after all, having lived with each other since they moved to the city. It wasn't just that there wasn't any part of her he hadn't seen, but that there was very little of her he hadn't touched, considering they'd ended up in each other's beds and baths on quite a few occasions.

She reached down to a trapdoor in the floor of the pantry, pulling a jug of clean water out of their cold-box, pouring some into a wooden cup before replacing the jug and closing it again. She took a hearty drink of her cold water as she walked back into the main room, where her reptilian roommate was already lounging, stretched out on one of their beds.

She rolled her eyes as she walked over to him, "Shut up and move over, I'm gonna steal some of that cold off you."
