I had a great Sunday with my friend, Sarah! She came over earlier. We did mini home spa treatments. I did full skincare spoils for her because she doesn't treat herself to spa facial treatments & deserves some pampering. Afterwards, we went to the outdoors expo, at Juan de Fuca Rec.

Just got back home & am relaxing as my #Vietnamese #BòKho (beef stew) finishes simmering. I put it on slow cook before going to expo.

I was a bit weirded out by some unmasked folks at the expo who complimented me on my custom marked N95 mask - that reads on one side: Covid Killed My Dad & other side has a bear sticker that says - Sometimes Anti-Social. Always Anti-Fascist.

Beef jerky vendor was nice person but not very informed on covid. He asked me if that really happened? I asked, what do you mean? He points to my mask & says - about #covid killing your Dad? I replied - Yes, Dad died June 9,2023 after hospital infected him with covid, after I kept him safe for 3 years at home. I lost a dear friend to covid recently too after in hospital infection & a friend's teen is living in wheelchair from #LongCovid & he was a jr athlete prior to 2 infections.
