@hicoo as a Brit living in ROI, I’m seeing this first hand. A few miles from where I live is a small village called #newtownmountkennedy where a centre is being constructed to house 160 undocumented male immigrants in tents. The village is under resourced already. The centre will be next to the kids sports ground. The protests are on national news and are becoming violent. Today hundreds marched through the village in protest. Irish people will support the proposed return to UK

@Becksy It's the xenophobia of the #ToryFascistDictatorship , the reason for the boats are all other routes had been closed down. There;s really legal pathways for asylum seekers can claim refuge in Britain.

More and more I wonder why they'd want to. I get the language and possibly relatives but this country is turning into a bog of the same right wing nuts that america produces.
