It used to be that I could always get #DandelionGreens at the #Seattle #Ballard #FarmersMarket come spring, and from multiple vendors. But sometime (when my kids were too young to appreciate them, so maybe 5-10 years ago?) they disappeared and haven’t come back.

Just no market for it? Or the land now taken up with more valuable crops?

@disappearinjon Their primary market died — Greek and Italian nonnas.
@engagedpractx Not sure they were ever shopping in large numbers at the Ballard market. Still, I miss those things with a hot mustard bacon vinaigrette every now and again.

@engagedpractx I'm not sure I disagreed. I just never saw a lot of customers at the farmers market who were Nana aged. But maybe they were there and I missed them!
@engagedpractx (The old folks at the market were generally the elderly Scandanavians who have indeed largely passed away since then. Are dandelion greens big in Norway?)
