As a former director for civic integrity at Twitter, I’ve been disturbed for some time about what Elon Musk is doing with his private global platform.

Today, I took the step of leaving Twitter, completely.

@eddie1perez the replies Twitter is showing me to your tweets there are - mostly - depressing. It's sad to reflect on the path Musk has taken - with seemingly little self awareness.

I chose not to post any replies there, but I can’t count the number of times that I saw shallow or spiteful comments that made me think, “See? You’re making my point about what Musk has unleashed…”

@rogersaner @eddie1perez one advantage of not having a Twitter account is that Musk prevents you from seeing replies. It's pretty freeing when you realize you never have to read those depressing sycophants.
