Funny Story #GreenDay - I went to #Pinole Valley High School #PVHS in the late 80s.

In biology, I had a lab partner named Patty or Patti. Dark hair, liked Depeche Mode, don't recall her last name. My Yancy was the pervert teacher who assigned seats and seemed to have girls in the front row of every class he taught.

Anyway, during the early 90s I was at the Nation's Giant Hamburgers in Richmond and I saw Patty at a table with a bunch of people, a few I recognized from High School but didn't 🧵+

know them. So I went over to say hi to Patty and we talked a bit. One of her friends at the table kept looking at me like he expected to me say something to him but while I recognized him from High School, I didn't even know his name.

A month later, I realized it was Billy Joe of #GreenDay and the other was Mike Dirnt.

I had left the school before they started playing, so while I knew Green Day was an East Bay band, I hadn't yet put it together that I went to high school with them for the 🧵+
