SamXaviaNot sure how you advertise Mastodon instances at this point. I guess the Fediverse is probably one of these things; You probably have to get people IRL to join or just find people already using it to migrate.

Tealk@sam I simply had my instance entered in various lists and advertised it in the forums that have to do with role-playing.
I was even banned from some of them 
You were allowed to advertise for your Twitter channels, but not for a Mastodon instance...
@Tealk That sounds really bad. Why would you only accept site but not the other?
Hopefully, the ones that you have yours listed on are doing well.
@sam I have no idea, but the role-playing scene is a bit strange, just like with Discord.
I don't even know which lists the instance is on anymore and whether they all still exist. I also don't know if it made a difference.
I think that https://joinmastodon.org/de/servers is the most relevant.
C.W. Smith πΊπ²I have 6 total instances. 4 are currently open for admin approved registrations. This one is my personal server, and the other is for a Vtuber/creator project that may eventually go for enrollment.
I try to just post from the other four as time goes on to get them out there, and to get just content related to their niches.
