I'm going to start a series about J2ME and Symbian mobile games.

First is Rise of Lost Empires. Amazing mobile RTS game from Gameloft! Heroes, base building, magic. This game has it all! It's a bit hard to control, especially on a emulator, but the controls are very good, considering the limitations. One of the top mobile java RTS games overall!

You use the arrows ("D pad") to move the cursor. Cursor can select hereos and issue commands (like mouse left click). You use the L soft key to switch between heroes. Units buils on barracks automatically follow selected hero. 0 is a spell book for healing, fireballs or buffa depending on a hero. Simple, yet very usable! However, it's definitely easier on a physical keybord, compared to emulator on-screen keys.
