Klangphonics are a trio that produce and perform live electronic music. By using a combination of electronic elements and acoustic instruments, they bridge the gap between producer and live band.

@faraiwe @revengeday I actually like this quite a lot and would like to hear the full song. πŸ˜…
@faraiwe Wait until you experience Schlager-style techno at an apres-ski bar in Austria
@faraiwe very funny. Factually, the German INVENTED techno. #kraftwerk
@MoskitoHero @faraiwe lmao i came here to mention that kids today prolly dont know who kraftwerk are/is/was

@rustoleumlove @MoskitoHero they probs don't, no.

Or New Order, for that matter.

@MoskitoHero @faraiwe it's only techno if it's from the German part of the Alps, otherwise it's just sparkling EDM.

@faraiwe

@kingu ⬆️⬆️⬆️

@faraiwe @VioletPixel it’s genuinely scary how well this works.

@tildalwave Nina is her own league of punk πŸ€ͺ @faraiwe
@carbon_compound @faraiwe Well yeah, her own... right there with Lene Lovich, Patti Smith, X-Ray Spex, Siouxie and the Banshees, Clare Grogan, Babes in Toyland, PJ Harvey,... 😜 She's definitely one of the punk's greats with incredible vocal range though
@tildalwave she is a great singer.
Just her lyrics did not amuse Honecker and the rest of the GDR-Guys that much. So she went from the east to the west.
BTW did I find "Obscurest Vinyl" in your timeline or who brought up this great thing here? @faraiwe
@carbon_compound It appeared in my stream and I'm a sucker for musical oddities so I boosted it :)

@tildalwave Glenn Robinson seems to be behind this project.

@faraiwe just yesterday I found another post in my feed about what it sounds like when Germans play techno. Correction. Invent techno.

@faraiwe Meute is a legit 11-piece techno marching band. From Hamburg. If you've never heard them, they're incredible.

https://www.meute.eu

MEUTE - Techno Marching Band

MEUTE is a Techno Marching Band - eleven drummers and horn players from Hamburg/Germany who fulfil the job of a dj with their acoustic instruments. The archaic conglomerate of brass and drums creates a new genre by combining hypnotic driving techno and expressive brass band music.

@flargh

That was great! What a fantastic find.

Aye. I went looking. Lotsa fun, and some great serious stuff, too.

@flargh @faraiwe

@faraiwe That just made my day ;)
@faraiwe There is also Meute, a "Techno Marching Band" from Hamburg. Their album "Taumel" is pure genius. <3 https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0F3yEq2UmsCwDPjMfKpcufYezoEnTlwo&si=2n1ccksa4e7XkFNt

I just checked out their stuff on youtube and omg do these guys love their arpeggios! 😍

@Laird_Dave Nothing about this is "German".
@snaeqe @faraiwe @Laird_Dave Pretzels and beer….

@jeroenvanbergen
@faraiwe @Laird_Dave

That's Bavarian, not German.
That's like saying Texas oil rigs are typical American.

@snaeqe @faraiwe @Laird_Dave Most of the people in the world will not be able to make that distinction. And to be honest, that includes me… The problem is always the generalisation.
@faraiwe Didn't Germans essentially invent techno? Also this, as the kids say, "slaps".
@shanesemler @faraiwe Ish. As far as i know and heard Talla 2xlc was working in a record shop back then and had a section for "Technolgy Based Music" or something. He shortened it to techno. At least thats what was said. I just know Talla 2xlc was involved. He still makes music, albeit trance, not techno.
@faraiwe Hahahahaha, amazing. DED indeed!
@faraiwe If you like this, I can recommend Meute, a German marching band playing electronic music. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2loN0JFZa0Y&pp=ygULTWV1dGUgcGFyaXM%3D
