I was trying to sort out what impact, if any, equity crowdfunding would have on player toxicity (of the “I funded this, therefore…” variety), compared to conventional crowdfunding…

Only to get blindsided by the company toxicity of Portalarium.

@glitchontwitch SOTA is an odd case because the community was/is so tiny. Would say there are some other KS games that didn't go equity CF that are more culty/toxic/abusive, but they are also much bigger.

@massivelyop Oof. That's alarming on multiple levels. I simultaneously do and don't want to know which ones, if that makes sense.

I'm only hazily aware of a lot of this at this point. I've gotten very overwhelmed by all the new games, so keeping up on any fallout is well outside of my wheelhouse. lol
