A couple shots from yesterday's eclipse in Colebrook, NH. A beautiful day, Colebrook did a great job setting up for the influx of visitors. We sat on the banks of the Connecticut River and watched the eclipse against a backdrop of the river, farm fields and a mountain. Just lovely. Lots of excitement and some unexpected FIREWORKS at totality. 6 hour drive home which was as good as can be expected. #eclipse #colebrook #nh
@jeffluszcz That's a particularly nice pinhole example.
@ghaff Thanks, never had heard of it as a technique before this eclipse (though had done ton of leaf and cardboard pinhole setups before) The pasta strainer had a very nice day out, saw the total eclipse and then cooked up delicious gnocchi tonight. That's got to be a pretty happy life for a piece of kitchen equipment!
@jeffluszcz fireworks! Do you think the corona was more active than 2017?
@mikemccabe 2017 was toward low end of cycle 24 and we’re near high point of cycle 25 so there’s certainly more activity. My phone camera is better too!
@mikemccabe I'd also have to say, I hardly remembered totality in 2017, I remember the buildup and crowds and excitement, but really forgot about the "hole in the sky", interesting how memory works!
