Priceless: Elon Musk is used to sueing everyone who criticize his business practices.

Now he has criticized a Brazilian supreme court justice and called for his resignation, but Brazil then responds by opening an obstruction of justice inquiry into Elon Musk, which could have legal consequences for the billionaire and his social media platform.

'During their meeting, Bolsonaro praised Musk as a โ€œlegend of libertyโ€ and described his presence as โ€œsomething spiritualโ€.' ๐Ÿ˜‚
@sinabhfuil @randahl Brazilโ€™s highest electoral court barred former President Jair Bolsonaro from running for political office until 2030, after finding him guilty of abusing his power and misusing public media during last yearโ€™s election campaign. So of course, he and #MelonHusk are BFFs

@randahl

Does the USA extradite to Brazil?

@Bandersnatch yes, they do.
@randahl Good.

@Bandersnatch @randahl But they do not extradite very much in general.

And they do not extradite ultrarich guys, even less.

But that does not keep Brazil from banning Musk's beloved X, the relevant apps, etc etc.

Considering that X is headed that way in a number of jurisdictions (e.g. probably the EU too), X will soon become even more US-only.

@randahl Entitilement starts at the top, with the economic elite and stays there.
@randahl Why don't people just use Mastodon? Let them eat /open source/ cake!
@randahl they need to block twitter in Brazil
