Debugging code in production ...
@nixCraft What movie is this from? 😮
Looks like something I would want to watch.
@sine_city @nixCraft that's Buster Keaton and I think it's his first movie
@BLTpizza @sine_city @nixCraft Buster Keaton started out in two-reelers after being born into a knock-about vaudeville act with his parents. The first film was with his friend, Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, who convinced him to get into pictures and was called "The Butcher Boy." His first feature was "The Saphead."

@nixCraft

(For anyone wondering what this is from, it's Buster Keaton in "The General". He did his own stunts, wrote it, directed it etc.)

@nixCraft

Oh god I lol'd too much at the second part 😂💯☑️

😂 " The coast is clear boss... For NOW 😂💯☑️ "

@nixCraft Agile, innit?
@ke7yxz @nixCraft nah Agile is when you get that ankle caught. Then you get Agile right quick
@nixCraft Funny video clip! Some of the "quieter": scenes in The General were really dangerous. For example, https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3AVEJcluWmjeKv9KFnvmvxWXc-ja5CadA50npoULDneBCZwrfs3kjrYWn-UQv5u_CaZW-KEClMwaKNAX564H0cOgSaSnXJCoTHWkNFA_TYo73XnAhliQueKl2LVMCqVQ1lr2n8eGiUik/s400/general+on+train.jpg shows Keaton sitting on a connecting rod. The train started to move slowly., The engineer running it was really scared because at such low speeds it was hard to control and Keaton could easily have been launched 10 feet or more upwards. No CGI back then!

@nixCraft Buster Keaton was a real G. Every time I see clips of these old films for a moment I wonder "man how did they do this", and the answer is, shockingly often, that they just actually did it.

That guy is just casually hanging on the fender of a locomotive doing this stuff.

@nixCraft

. I sacked a guy for doing fixes on production. Good guy, too. But he did it three times.... very sad.

@nixCraft Totally unrealistic. Usually, this happens at 10x the speed while the CEO keeps shouting at people to shovel coal faster.
@nixCraft I recently read that Buster Keaton did all his own stunts. And they're all real. Yikes.
@nixCraft Honesty, I swear. I've never done that. If I would have, I still wouldn't tell you about it.
@nixCraft One of my favorite Keaton stunts!
