I need a good email client that isn't thunderbird or mailspring or any of the other old ass crusty email clients that all suck. Seriously, why do we not have good email clients on Linux? Maybe I'm just asking too much

@darkufo I don't use Proton. I did pay for it, but I just didn't care for it. Ended up with Zoho

@amin I use mutt for a long time, but so many emails (read all email) is html now, it makes it harder for me to use it
fedops 💙💛@thelinuxcast the only html email I receive is marketing garbage and the odd sign up confirmation. For the former not being able to render the content is actually a feature. For the latter one can usually extract the relevant link. If not then I look at it in k9mail on the phone.

This sounds like some great content, too… building a better email client, an open source journey, day 0…
(I worked at Netscape back in the Communicator days, so I do lean toward the effort going in to the ongoing, under-funded development of T-bird, which I use, but that´s me)
Ren@thelinuxcast I've always like clawsmail, its the email client I compare all others to since I moved to Linux. I particularly like the fact that all messages are stored as individual text files, so no risk of a corrupted database
