Doing #this with your #hashtags does not #aid in #discoverability because #nobody is #looking for a #hashtag about "#looking". It simply #makes your #post look #ugly as #shit for #nogoodreason. Put your #tags at the #end of the #post. They will be #condensed by most #fedi software worth its #salt and will be #outoftheway and #unobtrusive. It also doesn't #look #like you're trying to #drum up #fakeengagement.
The #problem is when you #write #posts that #looklikethis, the #writing becomes #forced and #stilted. Those #hashtags become #harder to #ignore. It affects how #readable your #post is. #It looks like #you are #CloutChasing and #not #trying to #engage #organically. So just #PutTheTagsAtTheEnd.
Also, using hashtags in your post like that makes it a NIGHTMARE for screen readers.
@Elizafox I agree with you completely on this front, the inclusion of hashtags in text is much more of an advertising kind of feel versus a discussion kind of feel
@Elizafox
I agree, put hashtags at the bottom, even if you are repeating words.
@Elizafox For those of you who aren't bothered by reading inline-hashtag spam, this is how I read the above post, so you can understand what the issue is:
@Elizafox also, my inner voice reads it with **emphasis** on every **word** with a **hashtag**
