I am a bit of a severe weather nerd, and tomorrow looks interesting for ohio.

I will use the tag #WeatherNerd so you can block if you want.

Often these events that look obviously serious, sort of burn out, because they turn over the atmosphere early and south of us.

That said, sometimes they happen.

Remember severe weather is often really local so don't panic when they say tornado in Piqua, unless you are in Piqua.

Oh and the other thing, they are often really accurate with the speed and direction. At least the NWS is.

Your local person who flips the switch for the tornado siren .. not so accurate.

The last tornado in athens, spun up and headed east. I went to follow.

It was DEFINITELY 10 miles away from Athens, yet the local sherriff kept firing off the siren for every warning with our county in it.

Scared my wife, for no good reason, the storm had moved on.
