Finished finished rewatching the animated version of Avatar: The Last Airbender with my lovely wife (#MyReason), we've now moved on to The Legend Of Korra.

I forgot just how much I love Korra 🥰

#TLOK

@SleepyCatten Korra is such a frustrating show for me mostly because of it always being on the brink of cancellation. Season 1 has such a good set up for a narrative about disability and then a few episodes later it just reverts everything back to the status quo.

@SleepyCatten The moment Korra loses all her bending and is left with nothing but air, the element she's the worst at and takes concerted effort to be a fraction as good as her teacher's children was such a moment. Really makes you wonder what it'd be like for Korra to have to live like that. An Avatar who has lost the thing that makes the Avatar special. Hell, even if they spent the follow up season with her regaining her lost abilities...

But no. So frustrating.

@mdstevens0612 I always felt like Korra was constantly pushing her up against the impossible, and even leaving her seemingly permanently scarred after the events of the season 3 finale, and how she copes with it in season 4.

But yeah: Korra could have been even better without the constant fear of cancellation hanging over its head each season.

@SleepyCatten you should totally get the korrasami comic, i snuck it past my phobic parents and love it so much
@Forthestars I've read several of the Avatar comics and love them all 🩷
@SleepyCatten I've been introducing my partner to it; we finished season 3 recently, and will be watching season 4 soon.
