The “stamp’d” in particular is cute because you can elide potential unmetrical syllabes with that sort of improvised contraction in poems (to make sure nobody says “stamp-ed”).

There’s also a “The Raven” with no “e” in this book that’s a real tour-de-force.

@pseudepigram it’s such an amazing book. I’ve only read Adair’s translation which is an amazing feat in its own right. I remember how experiential it is, the way the brain adapts to it’s strange reality.
