Among Isekai titles, #TheWrongWayToUseHealingMagic stands out as a show that isn’t a one-man show centered around a single character who came to a new world, and one that raises the stakes without appearing too dark.
It addresses the topic of fighting in an actual war with seriousness, and manages to NOT have the existence of healing magic make that seem too inconsequential.

I really liked the characters and how they all bonded and influenced each other. The (entirely unromantic) relationship of Usato and Rose is a gem.

I’d happily welcome a second season.

The strongest part for me were episodes 9 to 11.

Despite knowing from the beginning that they will all die, the flashback of Rose and her previous squad was extremely well done. It transported how important they were to her, and how their loss almost broke her. It really got me sad too, and made it understandable what she sees in Usato.

But also that moment where the title is dropped as Usato punches the Black Knight was damn epic. It really brought across how he turned the tables in a hopeless situation.

@yellowjitsch I thought it had gotten a S2 announcement? Maybe mixing up with Sasaki and Peeps.

Definitely a better-handled generic isekai than most.

Rose a bes

@cthellis I’d be happy if that’s my mistake, wouldn’t exclude the possibility that I missed an announcement since I’m not really following industry news 😅
However I couldn’t find an announcement with a quick search while I could verify that Sasaki & Peeps is getting an S2.
