I'm playing with #BetterBird for email these last couple of days, since, for some silly reason, GMail is only allowing me to grab one email at a time with #OutlookExpress now, and that's a pain in the ass, especially if I've gone for more than a day without checking my email. I have to keep pressing the f5 key to refresh and it grabs one, maybe two pieces of mail each time.
Anyway, the interface is pretty okay, although I wish I didn't have to pass the quick filter, message display options, and threading buttons just to get from the folder treeview to the actual message list. Plus, the threading ting is weird in that it does not seem to indicate that certain buttons were toggled on or off. Plus, I think this threading stuff should hide nicely inside the view menu. Furthermore, and I think this may be an issue in JAWS,
when attempting to select multiple messages for deletion or whatever, using shift downl arrow or up arrow, it just says "selected" not letting me know which message was "selected." Other than that, at least I'm getting my emails like I should.
@tinygirl Press F6 and Shift-F6 to go back and forth between message list and folder/inbox selection.
@nick Just so use to simple tabbing.
@tinygirl Yeah, it used to be that simple in Thunderbird/Betterbird, but things did get a bit more gauty. But once you get used to F6 and Shift_F6, you're good.
@tinygirl I've not had that issue with outlook Express. In fact, it hauls in dozens at a time for me.
@maerlynofmiria Yeah, I've been having this problem since I last installed that RunAsXP version of Outlook express.
@tinygirl I've not ever had that happen with Outlook express. and I've been using it for a few years now.
