My GPs Surgery are about to lose a nurse and cannot replace her. They are already short of nurses such that if one is off ill my autistic twins, who hasn't the life skills to look after himself, has to do my dressings even though its too much for him. Now unless the district nurses will step in he will have to do them once a week every week.

As I have been posting about on [email protected] the problems getting the dressing changes I need have set my legs back considerably in their healing. He has demand avoidance issues with his autism too.

This is what the NHS has come to: relying on someone who due to their disability finds changing dressings too much to change my dressings potentially one time out of every 3 dressing changes. And all because they can't afford enough nurses.

We need a properly funded NHS. The Tories never will fund it properly. Will Labour? At one time I would have been certain of this. Under Starmer I am not so sure.
