This afternoon, as I have every Sunday afternoon for the past 14 years, I'll be live on the air on Chicago's best community radio station, CHIRP Radio 107.1FM playing you the best local and independent music from 4-6pm.

It's also my only time on air during the Spring Pledge Drive, so it's a good opportunity for me to tell you how much our little station means to our listeners, independent musicians, local labels and venues, local non-profits, and Chicago's arts and culture community. What makes cities like Chicago the vibrant, interesting, creative places that are that we all love are organizations like CHIRP that build communities and support the things that make Chicago great.
