I don’t get this modern Linux stuff. xyz-portal for this, abc-portal for that, and a bunch of random tools with cryptic names and meaningless descriptions.

In the end nothing works and nothing looks consistent anymore when not using #Gnome or #KDE. Not even programs using the same graphics toolkit look alike.

I wish modern Linux had less magic bullshit and things just work like before.
