So, I got this weird note and was asked to check out a room on Harv's Island about a new candidate for Resident Representative. Something about a new party called the "IOP." The candidate was named Arthur, but I did not know any "Arthur" on our island.

This is what I found.

IOP stands for "Inanimate Objects Party."

We have an inflatable candidate.

I mean, the rules don't SAY the candidate has to be a living being.

What in the world?

This is a silly joke from my days in college. There was an "Inanimate Objects Party" that ran an inflatable whale as a candidate for student body president most years I was on campus. Apparently, they had been doing it for years before I got there and periodically do it to this day. I had to slap up a silly inanimate candidate for my little story too. Enjoy.
