@BobLefridge The thing with 5 eyes is the USA don't need to run a secret operation from the GCSB as they have access to all data, also, 5 eyes members are able to spy on each other's citizens on behalf of their govt. My thinking is it's an agency with a 6 letter name thriving in the dark like moss that ends with sad when exposed.

I'll bet you're right. That's a worse scenario for a whole lot of reasons.

Remember the Mossad spies traveling on deceased NZer's passports caught in Christchurch post the 2011 quake. I believe they were quietly escorted out of the country by the Key govt.
