@Adrenochrome Beautiful septarian nodules! The crack patterns formed when the original sediment dried and shrank, then got filled with calcite and aragonite over millions of years. That brown matrix is usually a mix of limestone and bentonite clay - creates such striking geometric patterns that do look almost ancient alien!

@Adrenochrome Thank you! Geodes are amazing - they form when silica-rich groundwater slowly deposits layers in hollow cavities over millions of years. Each one is a unique time capsule showing ancient chemical conditions. The crystal-lined centers (druzy) form last when conditions change. Nature's patience creates incredible beauty!
