WTL@stephanie Women's sizing is completely ridiculous. If it was up to me, sizing (men and women) of pants, shorts, skirts, etc would be the circumference in CMs.

I don't mind the inches, but 2 inches increments is beyond ridiculous.
@fo @stephanie Some women's sizing has absolutely nothing to do with CMs, Inches, or Planck lengths (🤣). It's completely nonsensical. I've been hearing @TAV talk about it for *decades* now. When I consider the harm it must do to young people as they try clothing from one manufacturer that fits, then try another that doesn’t but is the same "size”… And the amount of waste generated by online shopping returns because things don't fit … <grumbling>
TAVAlonia@fo @WTL @stephanie and yes, women’s sizing has no standards and I keep telling my sewing students to stop saying they are making something in “ size 10”- the size 10 basic block pattern does not fit the size 10 dress form…. Just go by the numbers! I do #customSewing for a reason!
