Ars Technica
@arstechnica I ran OS/2 Warp 3 for about a year. Back when it was almost cool. Compuserve/Prodigy/BBS days. I need a kleenex.
@arstechnica They stole what they needed for NT, so they dumped it.
@arstechnica There were things in OS/2 that Windows can't do even now.
@arstechnica I sure miss OS/2. OS/2 Warp was the best. I know I am really dating myself with this.
@arstechnica I ran OS/2 Warp on my main computer for quite a few years. It wasn't just a good GUI operating system; it also ran DOS apps better than Windows. I eventually had to drop it when development stopped and I needed to use Windows apps that it wouldn't run.
@arstechnica Verdict: Better than Win11
@arstechnica I still remember when the first OS/2 version changed from text based only to the next one with real graphics. Until then we only had text based UIs for banking SW. And it worked.
