one of the reasons I'm so fascinated by #mobing is, like. Luo Binghe is basically raised completely disconnected from his demonic heritage, especially when he's young, thinking of himself as a human. And then there's the rupture, both in PIDW and in #SVSSS where he's like "Fine, then, if humanity doesn't want me, I'll be a demon!"

Only, of course, he doesn't really have any idea what that means. And although it's never explicitly stated, it seems like MBJ is his guide to demonic culture.

And, if you've ever really encountered a foreign culture long enough to experience culture shock, you have some idea what a project this is!

And most people are no more able to explain their culture to you than a fish is able to explain how water works.

And Mobei-jun is maybe the *least* curious about his surroundings character ever written, although! If you wanted to write secret anthropologist MBJ, I would certainly subscribe to your newsletter.

@Betty
I'm a big fan of mobing and just wanted to say that your thoughts were really interesting to read!
It's also important to note that MBJ might be more knowledgeable about northern demon culture and might not know shit about other 'kingdoms' as the demon realm is a vast place
He could give LBH the rundown of general demonic culture -admittedly very badly imo for the facts you also mentioned, but miss important local specifics
@vebiradrawssometimes I was going to say, "If there were one demon who would have a broad overview of demonic culture due to being able to teleport..." but let's be honest, MBJ is not vacationing in the demonic riviera, or nipping out to experience the exotic culture of the *southern* desert. It's just not happening.
