Today’s the birthday of Lee Travis, the original Crimson Avenger.

(Also thrown in: his modern successor, Jill Carlyle.)

I appreciate that she's a Black woman (in the spirit of more diverse heirs to Golden Age heroes), but from her wiki entries, everything about her seems designed with "edgy" in mind. (That isn't a logo on her circa-2000-era belly-revealing t-shirt---it's a never-healing bleeding bullet wound. πŸ™„)
@dtgeek To be fair, if she's wearing all black leather, she does need SOME red on her outfit to justify using the CRIMSON Avenger name! πŸ˜‰
@SKleefeld she still could've gotten a generic t-shirt with red on it at the same Hot Topic the Batman Who Laughs went to... πŸ˜›
@SKleefeld a comment on Bluesky also suggested she could probably solve our blood donation problems (assuming nothing wrong with her blood). Though that would fall into "superheroes could solve a bunch of our problems but it'd ruin the story" category, though. (Reminded of the SMBC comic about Superman hailed for... solving our energy/pollution/climate change problems by being a clean one-man power source.)
