While reading about it, I just quickly went out, picked a twig of juniper (Juniperus communis), mixed it with sugar and water, with a splash of my wild yeast starter.
#sahti is a finnish beer, one of the oldest beer style in the world, made out of malt (barley, rye) and whole branches of Juniper.

My take on it is a quick version, omitting grains for a more soda like version.
